Biography

Rachel Levy Lesser is a freelance writer, columnist, author and PR professional. Rachel has covered a wide variety of events, personalities, products and books, and she has written about mother/daughter relationships, families, health, parenting, cancer, grieving, fashion, beauty products, shopping and more. Rachel has done public relations work for clients in fashion, home design, food products, retail and non-profits.

Shopping for Love, Rachel’s first book, was released in 2008. It is a memoir that chronicles her mother’s long and hard fought battle with cancer through their experiences shopping together. The book was well received, and Rachel appeared as a guest on the NBC 10! Show and as a featured author at Saks Fifth Avenue. She also wrote about the healing powers of shopping for Glamour Magazine’s Life with Cancer Web site.

Rachel graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and received her MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. She began her career in marketing working for People, Teen People, People En Español, Real Simple, Life, and Sports Illustrated for Kids magazines.

Rachel lives in Newtown, Pennsylvania with her husband and their two children.
